Job Description: Portfolio Management underwrites and manages the debt capital STRH commits to its corporate client base. Portfolio Managers work together with Corporate and Investment Bankers, Product Specialists, and Risk Managers to deliver capital and strategic ideas to the STRH client base. Post close of a transaction, Portfolio Managers lead the credit relationship with their clients and actively manage and monitor the credit profile and exposure levels across their portfolios.

Portfolio Management Analysts’ career paths include a structured training program that includes accounting, modeling, corporate finance, underwriting and financial analysis training followed by placement within one of STRH’s Geographic or Industry Groups. Through exposure to a wide variety of corporate lending transactions, Analysts will enhance their financial and industry analysis skills, build expertise in corporate finance and underwriting, and develop a comprehensive understanding of their portfolio of clients. Portfolio Management Analysts work with a Portfolio Management team that analyzes companies’ financial operating performance, evaluates industry trends and identifies key risks and mitigants of a client’s credit profile against our lending parameters. Portfolio Management Analysts will work on cash flow analyses and underwriting credits to sharpen financial analysis skills.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: * Completed BA/BS degree * Overall GPA of 3.0 * Proven analytical ability and attention to detail * Solid leadership and interpersonal skills * Superior written and oral communication skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced, team oriented environment * SunTrust is only able to consider candidates that are permanently eligible to work in the United States. Preferred Requirements: * Prior relevant work experience (0-1 years) * Business major * Completion of Accounting or Finance related coursework * Willingness to commit substantial time and energy to the position
