Builds valuable relationships with business leaders to translate business, client, and product strategies into supporting marketing strategies. Applies knowledge of customer/client behavior for the business and provides insights into product strategy development as well as segmentation and targeting. Collaborates with internal and external marketing partners to develop and execute marketing programs for the business. Acts as the primary Marketing contact to the business represented and works across Marketing to develop marketing plans and tactics that leverage marketing capabilities to achieve business goals, enhance client experience, and acquire, grow and retain profitable client relationships. Monitors competitive market place opportunities, and provides ongoing marketing support that ensures the competitiveness of offered products and services. Ensures alignment of all strategies to the SunTrust Purpose and Brand.
Highly experienced subject matter expert role with either deep specialization or comprehensive knowledge within the Marketing discipline which crosses multiple areas of specialization. Applies in-depth and specialized expertise and/or a significant breadth of expertise in Marketing and other related disciplines including creative development and market research. Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services. Applies a comprehensive understanding of how the organization operates to solve technical, operational, and business problems. Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions. Leads teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and complexity. Mentors less experienced teammates to build their own technical expertise. Impacts the achievement of client, operational, project, service, and risk management objectives. May have people management responsibilities. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex and unusual situations.
Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Deep specialized and/or broad knowledge within the marketing (or related) discipline. Sound and comprehensive understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes. Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and implement best practices to improve products, processes, or services. Ability to lead projects of significant complexity and risk exposure. Ability to exercise judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and priorities. Sophisticated analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical and business problems. Ability to influence others to adopt a new perspective. Knowledge of the industry's competitive landscape and an understanding of the market and regulatory factors that shape the industry. Experience in Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Requirements:MBA or Master's degree in related field and 10+ years of related experience. Previous experience in retail, financial or package goods industries.
