Job Description This role is a Product Manager in the scaled Agile Framework who balances Business, Technology and Design priorities to deliver brand-defining product and service experiences. This role works hand-in-hand with the Product Owner. The position requires the ability to think strategically and to shift into details in order to make informed decisions and oversee tactical execution. The Product Manager is responsible for defining the strategy for their area of responsibility based on client and company needs. They identify and prioritize Epics and Features within their area of purview for development and then project manage the holistic effort through development and implementation of the new experiences. Work will span the entire delivery process; from identifying areas for improvement, prioritizing epics, defining user stories, working closely with technology organization and key business stakeholders on delivery and overseeing tactical execution of efforts. Taking a holistic perspective, you will be responsible for evolving the experience within your area of responsibility across all pieces of the digital ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities: •Develop and communicate the vision and roadmap; owning and defining the vision, strategy and roadmap to develop and enhance the assigned journey. •Understand client needs and validate solutions; formulating sound recommendations based on market data, third party research, industry trends, and internal client research to determine most effective way to drive digital usage and satisfaction. •Manage and prioritize the flow of work; providing direction and guidance to larger team surrounding experience journey strategy, priority and requirements. Core to the role is clearly balancing competing needs to determine priority. •Be the subject matter expert with respect to the competition, industry trends, technological advances, and changing client needs. Demonstrate thought leadership and champion the experience vision across the company. •Drive the scoping for new digital experience concepts including developing business cases, identifying key metrics and ensuring ability to measure success post-implementation. •Drive cross-functional collaboration with constituents inside and outside of the Digital team in the planning and implementation process, including alignment of objectives, success metrics and key strategies and tactics to leverage all available touch points •Deliver new experiences by working directly with technology, business and operations partners to define efforts, define requirements and manage the overall project plan and deliverables •Participate in system demos – Be an active participant in System Demos to evaluate experience delivery prior to launch •Directly manage external agencies or third party vendors, where needed, and partner with the internal departments to execute •Lead activities to complete work including requirements, launch communications and training materials, user acceptance testing, business validation, success criteria measurement and post-deployment analysis to determine product improvements •Perform triage on critical issues, escalating as necessary, and communicating consistently and clearly with all concerned parties. •Update leadership on the Journey roadmap including dependencies impacting deliverables along with recommended solutions. •Possess understanding of the P&L, with ability to tie digital engagement/effectiveness to budgeted outcomes to achieve objectives. •Lead non-direct report teams of varying sizes to accomplish goals. •Work with Product Owner to prepare for and participate in Program Increment (PI) planning sessions to map out the work for the coming quarter •Gather information and feedback for new enhancements and improvements to existing capabilities to build out journey roadmap Qualifications BA/BS required or equivalently-related professional experience •7+ years of technology/software product development or software development •Experience with processes and tools supporting Agile methodologies; 2+ years desired •Comfort managing concurrent projects in a fast-based, results-driven environment •Equal enthusiasm for high-level strategic planning and tactical daily execution •Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and recommend action plans to resolve issues •Experience defining and driving the vision of journey-based programs and/or partnership-based programs •Strategic thinker able to define and evaluate alternatives, and translate goals into specific project tasks. •Experience using quantitative skills with the ability to link product design and features to strategic objectives while using hard data and metrics to substantiate assumptions and recommendations •Experience partnering with multiple groups (IT, Marketing) to define and execute on a road-map. •Experience in roles which require initiative to drive projects, tenacity to delivery results in a complex environment, and the ability to manage across many projects •Strong attention to detail in both technical and non-technical capacity. •Excellent skills in presentation, facilitation, communication, and negotiation •Articulate, persuasive, and comfortable interacting with all levels of people •Experience in roles requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills & the creation and delivery of succinct executive-level presentations to explain and sell plans/vision
