The IIS Relationship Manager/Client Manager is a strategic advisor who anticipates their clients’ needs and pro-actively presents their clients with new product ideas, suggestions for alternate business strategies, and solutions to business problems. The key objective of this role is to provide exemplary service to new and existing clients leading to superior, sales and retention. The IIS Relationship Manager/Client Manager meets with existing clients to provide insight and knowledge on their current service portfolio and to expand our relationship through the introduction of new products, resources, and capabilities. In prospect situations, the IIS Relationship Manager/Client Manager will work closely with the Investment Manager who will present the Institutional Investment Solutions (IIS) investment philosophy, process, and performance. If necessary, it is expected that the IIS Relationship Manager/Client Manager could address the current state of the financial and investment markets, provide economic outlooks, and identify applicable industry trends. Establishing trust and credibility, will lead to one’s ability to create solid referral opportunities from both prospects and clients. This is accomplished through a highly consultative role regarding the client’s investment and business specific administrative needs. The incumbent is accountable for ensuring that high quality service is delivered to clients whose needs are diverse and complex. The principal activities of this position are: demonstrate exceptional consultative skills that will include knowledge that is both business specific and investment oriented; manage, cultivate, and expand client relationships; identify additional needs and make appropriate high quality referrals; capitalize on sales opportunities to meet revenue expectations; manage risk through appropriate adherence to policies, procedures, and effective fiduciary oversight. Works with mid-sized accounts and/or handles moderately complex ERISA and/or investment related relationships. May provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff. Will have both client retention and new business sales goals. Some travel may be required


Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically has a minimum of 5 years of client management experience in a finance or investment driven environment. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economic, accounting or other business related field is required.
