Enterprise Compliance Programs and Governance Consultant

This position reports to the Corporate Compliance Manager and is responsible for managing Enterprise-wide Compliance Programs. The position requires the candidate to have a broad understanding of compliance regulations, products and services offered by financial institutions, expertise in managing enterprise-wide programs, and the ability to navigate complex businesses and engage with segment and function compliance teams.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

•Using a risk-based approach, identify regulations that impact multiple segments, functions and business activities to prioritize the development of enterprise-wide policies, procedures and processes as appropriate (collectively, “Enterprise-wide compliance programs”).

•Articulate the roles and responsibilities for Enterprise Risk, business and function management within enterprise-wide compliance programs.

•Develop and maintain enterprise-wide compliance policies and procedures for applicable enterprise-wide regulations.

•Define requirements and standards for enterprise-wide regulations to ensure consistent adherence to regulatory requirements across segments and functions.

•Establish key risk indicators and executive management reporting to represent the company’s compliance health with respect to enterprise-wide regulations.

•Create executive management reporting identifying common trends, emerging concerns and results of conducting oversight of Compliance Risk Delivery teams’ adherence to the Enterprise Compliance Framework.

Basic Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

•7 years of work experience including audit, operations, process engineering or risk management

•Strong knowledge of Third Party Risk Management and other industry-related regulatory requirements, and operational risk concepts.

•Professional communications and presentation skills.

•Strong relationship management skills.

•Demonstrated leadership or management skills.

•Solid knowledge of risk management principles and controls, broad-based business practices, and deep understanding of segment/function business processes, with the ability to assess levels of adherence/execution and identify risk/control improvement opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications:

•MBA or advance degree.

•Consulting experience at a corporate level

•Experience in the financial services industry

•Project management skills

•Strong writing and verbal skills

•Ability to work within a matrix organization Qualifications
