TheCommercial Real Estate Compliance Managerwill provide support to theTruist Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Lendingline of business. Areas of support within CRE include National Real Estate, Truist Real Estate Capital, Truist Community Capital, RECIB, and Credit Delivery. The manager is responsible for conducting and participating in activities including, but not limited to regulatory risk reviews, regulatory implementations, monitoring, issues remediation, regulatory inquiries/examinations, and generation of compliance test scripts. The manager will act independently and as part of teams, that will include engagement with other CIG compliance managers, business managers, operations and technology representatives, legal, risk administrators and other functions. Manager also acts in ad hoc advisory capacity to assigned business units within CRE and provides compliance guidance for various projects and initiatives throughout the enterprise. Manager develops and maintains Segment/LOB/Function’s compliance risk management processes, consistent with Truist’s Operational Risk Policy. Analyzes actual and emerging risks within highly complex Segment/LOB/Functions. Escalates emerging risks and issues to management as appropriate. Implements strategies and methods related to compliance risk management framework within the organization, including quality assessments, key risk, and performance measurement data, along with monitoring and mitigation management strategies. Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 10 years experience within the financial services environment with demonstrated strong knowledge of standard compliance concepts, laws, regulations, practices and policies associated with the industry..
- 6 years supervisory or management level experience.
- Sound leadership effectiveness and a strong ability to influence executives.
- Demonstrated experience with regulatory agencies, requirements, and/or regulatory compliance. Strong analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fluid environment, and to work both independently and as a team member. Preferred Requirements:
MBA, JD, or advanced degree. JD Candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Experience in the financial services industry within audit or compliance.
- Project management skills.
- Ability to work within a matrix organization.
- Consulting experience at a corporate level.
- Professional certification or license risk management.
