Associates will join either a product group, focusing on the analysis, structuring and execution of specific transactions across a range of industries, or an industry coverage group, focusing on a full range of merger & acquisition, strategic advisory, and debt and equity capital raising solutions within a particular industry. Location: The majority of Analysts will be placed at the Company headquarters in Atlanta. We also have offices throughout the U.S. in cities including Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Memphis, Miami, Nashville, New York, Pittsburgh, Richmond, San Francisco, Tampa and Washington D.C. Training: Prior to joining a product or industry coverage group on a full-time basis, SunTrust Robinson Humphrey Associates participate in up to six weeks of a comprehensive training program in Atlanta. Training consists of classroom instruction in accounting, financial modeling, valuation, and a case based course incorporating debt & equity components. Associates will also receive training in preparation for the Series 7 and 79 license exams. The goal of training is to equip Associates with the skills, knowledge, and tools to quickly adjust to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and make an immediate contribution to their team. Job Description: As an integral member of the team, Associates play a meaningful role in new business development, due diligence, and transaction execution. Associates work with senior professionals to identify and evaluate opportunities and then meet with and present to prospective clients. Associates must demonstrate a mastery of financial and accounting concepts to facilitate the creation or review of in-depth financial models involved in transactions. Associates are also charged with drafting internal and external documents and marketing materials utilized in transactions. Associates often take a lead role in executing transactions and working with clients, attorneys, investors, interested parties and other senior professionals on a daily basis. As a result, strong organizational, communication and leadership skills are necessary to be effective in the position. The majority of Associates will be placed at our headquarters in Atlanta. Minimum Requirements: •MBA from a leading program •Minimum of 3 years work experience required •Ability to understand complex financial products and desire for significant transaction execution responsibility •Proven analytical ability and attention to detail •Solid leadership and interpersonal skills •Superior written and oral communication skills •Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Preferred Requirements: •Concentration in Finance •Previous background in financial services and/or experience as an Analyst SunTrust Robinson Humphrey is only able to consider candidates who are permanently eligible to work in the United States.
